Third upscale gas station chain to enter the area

GO TO > BACKGROUND

Not just Wawa and Sheetz entering the Greater Cincinnati market. RaceTrac is coming, too.

RaceTrac is an American corporation that operates a chain of gasoline service stations, mostly across the southern United States.

In 2023, the upscale gas station chain announced plans to enter the Ohio market and have been building locations ever since.

They're getting closer to Greater Cincinnati. (And don't worry Northern Kentucky, you're included. It already has places in the state.) Currently, a location is being built in Beavercreek which is southeast of Dayton OH.

Most RaceTrac locations feature 20 to 24 fueling positions and a 5000+ square foot convenience store offering more than 4,000 items.

In January 2012, RaceTrac introduced its new 6,000 square foot store design, which features Swirl World frozen yogurt, free Wi-Fi internet and indoor and outdoor seating.

Breakfast items like sausage and egg biscuits, high quality pizza baked fresh in-store, sandwiches and salads.

No specific locations have been announced for the area, but it will be here soon.

It's usually one of the first signs of spring in the area.

The old fashioned DQ ice cream stand in Latonia opens on Friday, February 28th.

Outdoor signage says so. That Dairy Queen stand on Decoursey Avenue has been around for a long time and, yeah, acts as a seasonal time clock for this Covington neighborhood.
