A porn star has candidly opened up about the toll his career has taken on his love life — resulting in persistent feelings of loneliness and leading him to wonder whether he will ever be able to find a partner.

Blake Mitchell, 23, from Kentucky, works as an actor and producer in the gay male adult entertainment industry. The performer also maintains a YouTube channel, on which he has 61,000 subscribers.

In a recent video titled 'I'm lonely', Blake, who has 181,000 followers on Instagram and 150,000 on Twitter, said some people asked whether he can truly feel lonely when he has tens of thousands of followers on social media and has found fame in his industry -- a question he answered with a clear yes.

Blake, who is bisexual, said that he has found it hard to know whether people he dates are acting genuinely or whether they are only interested in him because he is well known.

He explained that he has had experiences in the past of beginning to get attached to a potential partner, only for that person to ask for a shout-out, which felt 'very disingenuous'.

Because of his career, Blake also sometimes receives inappropriate comments, for example when he goes to night clubs and strangers end up 'complimenting [his] d**k or a** or different body parts'.
