Covington KY's population isn't growing, but poverty is
As of 2016, the US Census Bureau says the population inside the City of Covington KY is at 40,797, which is 129 more people than in 2010. The population has decreased by 3,400 people since 2000.
An article in the print newspaper attributed any growth to people moving from Over-the-Rhine as that section of Cincinnati becomes gentrified.
People living in poverty in Covington KY also went up a tick, to 27.2% from 2015 but up 8% since 2010.
Covington KY's population is about the same as 2010, and 3000 plus less than 2000.
