United's CommutAir, with training center at CVG, hires new director

CommutAir has appointed Jeffrey Harris as its Director of Flight Operations Training. He will be based in the North Olmsted Corporate Office.

Jeff will lead a rapidly growing cadre of training professionals and spearhead the expansion of training facilities in Dulles and at CVG

Chief Operating Officer Joel Raymond said, "As CommutAir continues its rapid deployment of the ERJ 145, it is imperative that our training department leadership have the vision and experience to execute these ambitious plans. Jeff's experience and impressive track record will make him an immediate contributor to our future success."

Jeff comes to CommutAir from FlightSafety International, where he was Assistant Director of Training and responsible for managing all aspects of a training operation with over 100 instructors, 17 simulators, and multiple aircraft types.

Previously, Jeff worked for Ameriflight, Horizon, Empire, and Allegiant Airlines. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon.
