Gateway selling the old Two Rivers school in downtown Covington
Shrinking Gateway College puts another downtown building on the market
Posted 11:05 am / February 19, 2019
Gateway College has put yet another building in downtown Covington on the market. The college, which was at one-time hyped as the savior of downtown, has been getting rid of its acquisitions after things didn't work out so well.
This time, it's the old Two Rivers Middle School at 525 Scott Blvd.
"KCTCS, on behalf of Gateway Community and Technical College (GCTC) offers for sale one property located at 525 Scott St./Blvd, Covington, KY 41011," says a listing at Loopnet.
"The building is comprised of a 72,000 +/- square foot building on 1.5 acres. The building is a three-story brick with a partial basement. It is a mixture of offices, classrooms, a gymnasium, and a cafeteria. It is currently vacant. "
Loopnet says the college will accept sealed bids.
"A bid package necessary for submitting a bid is attached to this listing. All bids must be submitted on the approved form of proposal," the real estate site notes.
The bid will be awarded to the party offering the highest bid. Pre-approval of financing for the bid amount must be included with bid submission. The Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS) reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
The complex was previously an elementary and middle school.
