One dead, 3 injured in Boone County crash

Wreck was in the southbound lanes of US 25 near
Richwood Road between Walton and Richwood.

According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, Charles Miles, 48, of Walton, Kentucky, was driving south on US 25 near Richwood Rd, when he crossed the center line and into northbound lanes.

Deputies said Miles stuck the vehicle of Shawn Murray, 50, also of Walton, head-on.

Miles’ vehicle was pushed back into southbound lanes and into a wooded area, says Hearst Media repeating information from the sheriff's office.

Officials said a third vehicle also struck Miles’ vehicle in the northbound lanes.

Miles was pronounced dead at the scene.

Murray and his passenger, a 51-year-old woman, were injured and taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, deputies said.
